Other sources of VTM data

The California Environmental Information Catalog. This directory contains links to several VTM-derived data layers. Search on the keyword "Wieslander."

California Fire and Resource Assessment Program. Several FRAP layers were derived from VTM maps. Look for data containing the name "Wieslander."

Jepson Herbarium SMASCH Query Acquisistion Records. Many of the samples collected during the original VTM surveys now reside in the UC Berkeley Jepson Herbarium. This site allows you to search for them when you select 'Vegetation Type Map Project' from the 'Voucher' box.

NBII California Node - Wieslander Vegetation Type Mapping Project. The California Node of the National Biological Information Infrastructure maintains a site with some VTM data, predominantly research publications associated with the original project.

USDA Forest Service Pacific Southwest Region GIS Clearinghouse. The calhveg34_1 and caltmln45_3 layers were both derived from VTM maps.
